Do YOU have.... LUPUS ~ Fibromyalgia ~ CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) ~ Migraines ~other? OR are you here supporting someone?

I have Fibromyalgia and was just diagnosed with RA, and Carpel Tunnel, Glaucoma, Osteo Arthritis

QUESTIONS & FEARS??(Although some read other member pages, questions are best to be entered and type in the FORUM :)

My fear is that they will never know what causes fibromyalgia or that they'll find a cure. My fear is also that I will be crippled for rest of my life. Also that people won't tolerate my problems.

Favorite pastimes? (You may want to share in GROUPS!! :)

I love to crochet and listen to music and reading and when my boys have a chance to come out hang out with them. Also love to play with my dogs, and birds. Occasionally go to the park and have lunch.

Do you find this site helpful from what you have seen on the main page and anywhere else you may have looked at? Any suggestions or ideas?

Will This Pain Ever Stop???

My brother, James was here 2 weeks on Sunday. He seems to like it here which I'm grateful for. He couldn't live on his own anymore, and he had to give up his house which he had lived in for 30 years. I was very nervous he wouldn't be able to feel comfortable here.

Not Here For A While Due To Pain

I haven't been on here in a long time due to the pain, and plus going on the computer was a problem with my eyes.
I'm so tired of the pain! It seems like the pain never stops. I never get a remission from the pain. I try to say, "tomorrow will be a better day". The fog is driving me nuts too. I keep forgetting things. The fatigue is bad also. I get tired so easily also, which I know happens with fibro. Different Procedure Done On My Eye

Here we go again. Another procedure is going to be done on my eye on Thursday. The second procedure on my eye didn't work either, and the Dr. messed it up and my eye had blood in the white of the eye for more than a month. The eye is tender. I quit the Eye Dr.'s and found myself another Retina Specialist, and he said he felt that the laser treatment might work. He says it doesn't hurt, but I don't know about that. Have Procedure Done Again

It seems like this is never ending with my eyes. My retina specialist told me last week that I'm going to have to have the procedure done again on my left eye. The blood still hasn't left my left eye. To me, this is very upsetting. Not to mention the pain, but the cost of it also. I had a woman in reception say to me just put it on the credit card. To me if it doesn't work this time, it's going to be a waste of money.

Result of Eye Specialist Appointment

I went to the Eye Specialist on Monday, and he ended up numbing my eye, and he put the needle in my eyeball. It did hurt, but it was over fast. I am on an antibiotic drop which on Monday I put them in every hour, and now I'm putting them in 4 x a day until I see him again next Tuesday. Don't know how long I will be on the drops. The drops have 3 refills. I saw the Dr. on Tuesday, and he told me there is still blood behind the eye, and it's just a wait and see thing. The Dr. says that it doesn't… Continue

The doctor I seen yesterday said I had an ulcer on the side of my foot so he gave me some antibiotics and he also preached to me about God telling me that God let me have this pain for a reason,sometimes we don't always understand or know the reason why but he always has a plan for us in this life. The doctor said maybe it was to make me stronger and to be able to deal with things or just to see if I would give my pain to the Lord and ask him to take some of it. My primary doc said that since I have positive labs for theses 2 that he doesn't think it's Fibro. I know I have it because when I was on Lyrica, it took away all the muscle pain I had. And I have a lot of the other symptoms like sensitivity to meds, sleeplessness, nasal congestion,etc. But Lupus is bad enough in itself with joint pain and fatigue. I know when I am in an RA flare or a Lupus one because with RA I get very stiff and tired as opposed to the pain from Lupus. Sigh.

But I don't let any of it get me down. I try to stay positive no matter what. I seem to get one ailment after another, like recently Gout in my elbow, but I just go with the flow. lol

At 7:05pm on October 13, 2009, herlinda said…: no worries.... i know its not easy but don't get up. at least, you will have your brother near you so you don't have to worry about him. do you have a low vision specialist near your area? a low vision specialist will assit you in keeping what vision you have and evaluate what adaptive devices you may need to be able to see better. anyways, it may look a bit blurrier but it takes time for that blood to settle and for vision to restore itself. try to rest as much as you can. i will keep you in my prayers....
